Produced in 1972, the story of VIN# 147772 began when Jean-Loup Thepenier (French Maserati importer and Alfa romeo distributor) prepared this Montreal for the private racing driver Stanislas Machoir to compete in the 1976 Tour Auto.  Unfortunatly the project was abandoned in favor of an Alfa Romeo 2000 GTV which took its place instead.

In the mid eighties Mr Machoir started his search for VIN#147772 with the idea of finalising the project and eventually race it in the Tour Auto Rally.   After many years he finaly found his beloved Montreal which he then had prepared by Alfa Romeo Specialist Quadrofoglio so it could start its new career.

In 2001, once the restoration was finished this Montreal finaly raced the Tour Auto, 25 year after its making !

After the 2001 Tour Auto edition we've seen the car in many other epic European historic races like the Modena 100 Ore, the Tour d'Espagne, Tour d'italie,...

Superb example and very rare racing Montreal with a 'Monster' appearence and amazing sound !!!
