Year : 1956

Owned by the legendary designer Brook Steevens for 40 years

Raced the 12 hours of Sebring in 1957

A rare fascinating French Gran Turismo eligible for vintage races such as

Tour Auto and 24 hours of Le Mans

description

This HBR5 was originally purchased by designer Brook Steevens and he retained it for 40 years.

During Mr Steevens ownership it was raced by Guy Storr and Hall Ullrich at the 1957  12 hours of Sebring sharing the track with names as Caroll Shelby, Stirling Moss and Juan Emanuel Fangio.  Unfortunately it failed to finish due to an engine issue.  Additional racing credibility was earned at Watkins Glen, New York with François Crouzet at the wheel.

Finished in dark French bleu as original delivered, it is a worthy candidate for vintage racing events such as the Tour Auto and the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Opportunities to acquire a Deutsch-Bonnet are rare, and even more so an example with noteworthy ownership and racing pedigree as this one.
