FIA Historic Austin Morris Mini
1965 FIA group Austin Cooper 1965, Age F, under 1000cc, CT6. This car wins almost every rally and is in every way totally set up and tested. It is in very good overall condition and has always been maintained regardless of cost. Built to a rally car in 2000-2004, first to class under 850cc and updated to under 1000cc in 2007.
Overall Finnish historic rally trophy champion 2009, 2nd 2008 and 2011.
Originally Austin Mini 850 -65, new front wings, front panel, A panels, inner and outer sills, front floors, rear lower valance and roof, rear subframe, new Perspex windows. Body sandblasted and totally painted with PPG “surf blue” (color code found on roll cage) with OEW roof. Weight about 640kg without fuel.
Sparco Sprint seats, Sabelt 6-point harness (valid to 2014). Terratrip Clubman intercom. FIA specs roll cage with extra tubing. MOMO 320mm suede steering wheel.
Original, Cooper/S master brake cylinder, race quality brake fluid. New 7” Cooper discs with Mintex M1144 pads, SS cylinders, braided hoses, Timken wheel bearing, Cooper S steering arms, new steering column, all ball joints, rack rod ends, bolts, pushes etc. original or race quality, RAC sump guard wit extension piece, Rover rubber cones, Bilstein shocks B36-0370.
New, rear axle repair kit, roller bearings, new drums, std shoes, new cylinders, braided hoses, Rover rubber cones, Bilstein shocks B36-0380.
Racetech tachometer, manual oil pressure and manual water temperature meters(Demon Tweeks), dual switches on passenger side, Cooper speedometer(not connected), Odyssey 22 race battery, new looms, Pertronix coil and leads, NGK iridium plugs, Aldon 45D distributor, blue points, red rotor, twin Hügo fuel pumps(individual leads, fuses and switches), Unipart 70amps dynamo, reconditioned std starter motor, 4 x Hella 1000 hi beam with 100W bulbs, round headlamps with H4 bulbs, FIA main switch, start button between seats.
SU H4 carburetors, short stacks, ITG socks. Mini spares uprated inlet manifold(C-AEG488 for H4). Downton cylinder head with new bronze guides, ARP cylinder head bolts, steel seats, race inlet valves 30,93mm(C-AEG588), race exhaust valve(C-AEG587 down sized to 25,4mm), double race spring C-AEA527, forged rockers, CR 11,5:1, C-AEA647 performance head gasket. Rover flat top pistons TAM2054 std bore, Cooper 998 block, lightened, polished and balanced Cooper rods with ARP bolts. Lightened, x-drilled, nitride hardened and balanced crank shaft, ARP main bolts, center main strap, feather light billet steel flywheel(~2,7kg), lightened back plate, orange diaphragm, AP Racing plate, STR930 camshaft set to 99deg, duplex chain, hi grade cam followers(C-AEG580), hi flow oil pump, hi flow water pump, 2-core SuperCool radiator, Setrab 13 row oil cooler, std Cooper short 3-1 exhaust manifold with a place to lambda sensor, specially made 1,75” exhaust with 1 rear silencer. 65hp/79nm on very realistic dyno, power band 4500-7500, revs up to 8200rpm. (Always tested with wide band lambda sensor and many times on dyno, around 200 runs)
STD Cooper/Cooper S 3-syncro, new baulk rings and bearings, straight cut drop gear 1:1, 4.13:1 final drive, performance diff pin, no LSD, nylon drive shaft coupling.
